So. You already know that I shot Virginia & Mike’s engagement session with both digital and film (just a couple posts back you’ll see me rambling on about how much I love film, and how precious it is, blahbety-blah-blah). You’re tired of hearing this from your “film” photographer friends (or your parents), aren’t you?
Tough luck! Because Virginia & Mike’s film negs, prints and scans were delivered yesterday and I’m totally excited all over again about them, the shoot, and of course, the film.
I’ve waxed poetic long enough about how much I just love this stuff, so instead of a long blog post about the evils of digital photography (which isn’t really evil, because, hey, I use it too), I’ll just put a bunch of the scans up here. Of course, looking at them on a monitor kind of makes no sense, but even shown pixelated, there’s no denying that film has a quality that even the best Photoshop actions simply cannot replicate.
If your photographer still shoots film, or offers it in one of their packages, definitely get that. You won’t be sorry.
