it’s nice to be nice to the nice

Amy & Chris are a whirlwind of love: Chris popped the question while they were both with their church group doing volunteer work in Costa Rica, and within a few days of their return they booked me and were rarin’ and ready to go with their e-session. Man, they get more done in two weeks than it seems I do in 6 months!

I love working with people who are nice. You know, just nice people. Everyone can get so wrapped up in their daily stuff, which sometimes, admittedly, isn’t very nice, and it’s so easy to not be nice. So when you meet people who go out of their way to be nice, it’s just….nice.

Who said it; “it’s nice to be nice to the nice”?

Anyway, we shot downtown because they both have a love of Los Angeles and her classic architecture. Yes, that required some laying down on the sidewalk (for me) and crouching in the gutter (again: me), but overall I think it was totally worth it. Oh yeah, did I mention it was about 105 that day? Ahhh, the smell of 6 busses passing you all at once while you’re crouched in the gutter. If I could bottle that…yeah, I’d go broke.

I digress.

One of the things I loved about the session was the total freedom to do whatever I wanted. While they had booked me, they didn’t have a place to get married in (since secured) nor a reception venue. All they had was me:)Because they have such active lifestyles and they’re all over the place all the time, I just really went with it when processing their photos. I went with lots of looks and styles; I didn’t want to pin them down to one look, because it’s obvious there’s no pinning them down (except, of course, to one another).

So while this is, yes, posted on Facebook already, here are the photos for friends & family who haven’t joined that cult yet:)Enjoy.

Nicole Glazier - My husband says that all the time!! Is it ‘Mash’??

Nicole Glazier - Love the photos, by the way!! :)

susan s. - LOL, you’re right! I’ve known that phrase for years (and have been using it) and never did remember where it came from. Well done, Nicole :)

And thank you :)
